Numbers and emails in seconds
Ugo searches your Outlook contacts by first name, surname, company, email or number.
Outlook has no direct connection to WhatsApp. With Ugo, an AI assistant with its own WhatsApp number, you sign in with your Microsoft account on the portal and ask it in the chat for the number, email or address of anyone in your Outlook contacts. Ugo reads your contacts but never changes them.
If you work with Microsoft 365, your clients’ and suppliers’ details are in your Outlook contacts. When you’re out and need a number or an email, opening Outlook on your phone and searching your contacts is slower than it should be.
By connecting Outlook Contacts to WhatsApp with Ugo, you ask “Emma’s email at Harper Associates” and get the answer in the chat. With Outlook Mail switched on, when you ask it to write to someone, Ugo finds the right address by itself.
It takes a few minutes. You do the first two steps only once, then you connect as many apps as you like.
Sign up at app.ciaougo.com with your email and password and enter your company name.
In Settings → WhatsApp, generate a code and send it in a chat to Ugo’s number: from then on Ugo recognises your number.
On the Ugo portal, open Skills and tap Connect on the Outlook Contacts card.
Allow Ugo to read your contacts. If you’ve already connected Outlook Mail or Outlook Calendar, use the same Microsoft account.
Ask for a contact’s email in your chat with Ugo: if it sends it to you, the connection works.
Ugo searches your Outlook contacts by first name, surname, company, email or number.
Ask for all your contacts at a company, with role and contact details.
With Outlook Mail switched on, you say “write to Emma” and Ugo takes the address from your contacts.
Ask Ugo whose number or email address it is: it looks for it among your contacts.
Can you give me Emma’s email at Harper Associates?
Emma Clarke, Harper Associates: emma.clarke@harperassociates.co.uk, +44 7700 900456
Tell her I’ll send the signed contract on Monday
Sending to emma.clarke@harperassociates.co.uk: “Dear Emma, I’ll send you the signed contract on Monday. Kind regards.” Shall I send it?
Ugo isn’t the only option. Here are the most common alternatives, and when they make sense.
You find your contacts in the People section and can even save them to your phone, but to search them you have to leave WhatsApp.
If you sync your Outlook contacts with your phone, WhatsApp already shows them, but for an email or for who works at a company you have to open the Contacts app.
If contacts need to be shared with the team and updated often, a CRM is a better fit than an address book. Ugo also connects to HubSpot, Odoo, Zoho CRM and Agile CRM.
Microsoft and WhatsApp don’t offer a way to query your contacts from the chat. Ugo costs €50 a month per person (or €550 a year), excl. VAT, with Outlook Contacts and every other app included.
No, the skill is read-only: Ugo searches your contacts but doesn’t change them.
No. Outlook Mail, Outlook Calendar, Outlook Contacts and OneDrive use the same connection to your Microsoft account.
Only the ones you’ve saved in your Outlook contacts. Ugo doesn’t search your organisation’s global address list.
Create your account, link your number and switch on Outlook Contacts from the portal. Every app is included in the subscription.
