At a metals company, requests arrive at all hours and almost always on WhatsApp. The fabricator asks for the 3.1 certificate for the plate delivered yesterday, the agent sends a photo of a drawing with quantities, the scrap merchant updates his price, the driver warns there’s no crane on site, the shift supervisor sends a photo of the drawing line that’s stopped. The answers, though, are somewhere else: in the quality folders, in the ERP, in the purchasing inbox, in the head of whoever is on holiday.
Ugo is a WhatsApp contact connected to the tools the company already uses: Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, email, contacts, folders on Drive or OneDrive, a CRM such as Odoo or HubSpot, monday.com for jobs and maintenance. Everyone uses it from their own phone, with their own accounts: sales for customers and quotes, quality for certificates, maintenance for repairs. With Automations on the company’s WhatsApp Business, Ugo also replies to customers, asks for whatever is missing and alerts the right person.
Ugo doesn’t replace the ERP, the MES or the heat traceability system, doesn’t work out prices with alloy surcharges and doesn’t sign anything on behalf of the quality manager. It finds, summarises, prepares and reminds. Every email, message or document goes out only after you tap “Confirm”.
