Find a Notion page
Search pages and databases and have Ugo tell you what’s in them, without opening the app.
The simplest way to use Notion or Linear from WhatsApp is Ugo, an AI assistant with its own WhatsApp number: switch on the app on the Ugo portal, sign in with your account and from then on you ask it in the chat to search, read and update pages or issues. In the same way you can connect any other app that offers an MCP server.
Notion and Linear are where the team writes, plans and keeps track of work. When you’re away from your computer, though, finding a page or adding a task on your phone is slow, and the idea you had in the car can easily get lost.
Ugo connects to these apps with MCP, the open protocol apps use to offer their tools to artificial intelligence. You ask it in the chat “what’s on the 2026 Price list page?” or “what issues have I got open?”, and when something needs creating or changing it first shows you what it’s about to do and waits for your “Confirm”.
It takes a few minutes. You do the first two steps only once, then you connect as many apps as you like.
Sign up at app.ciaougo.com with your email and password and enter your company name.
In Settings → WhatsApp, generate a code and send it in a chat to Ugo’s number: from then on Ugo recognises your number.
On the Ugo portal, open Skills and connect Notion or Linear. For another app, choose “Other apps (MCP)” → “Add an app”.
For Notion and Linear, you sign in with your account and allow Ugo. For other apps, give it a name, paste the address of the MCP server (you’ll find it in the app’s settings or documentation) and choose how Ugo signs in: with your account, with a key (token) or with no sign-in. Then tap “Connect”.
Ask it something about the app you’ve connected, for example “What issues have I got open on Linear?”: if it replies with your data, the connection works.
Search pages and databases and have Ugo tell you what’s in them, without opening the app.
Dictate a note or a database row: Ugo adds it in Notion once you confirm.
Check what’s assigned to you, create new issues and update their status.
Paste the server address and Ugo uses the tools the app makes available.
What issues have I got open on Linear?
You’ve got 3 open issues: • APP-214 Google login not working on Safari (In Progress) • APP-209 CSV export of orders (Todo) • APP-198 Pricing page copy (In Review)
Mark APP-198 as done
On Linear I’ll change the status of APP-198 “Pricing page copy” to Done. Shall I go ahead?
Ugo isn’t the only option. Here are the most common alternatives, and when they make sense.
They can create a page or an issue from a message, but you need the WhatsApp Business API and a flow to set up for each action, and you can’t ask your apps questions.
They have everything on your phone, but you have to open them and navigate them: handy for looking things up, less so for adding something on the go.
Several desktop AI assistants connect to the same MCP servers. They’re handy at your desk, but they don’t live in your WhatsApp chat.
Neither Notion nor Linear offers a direct connection to WhatsApp. Ugo costs €50 a month per person (or €550 a year), excl. VAT, with Notion, Linear and every other app included.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open protocol that lets apps offer their tools to artificial intelligence. Many apps already support it: you’ll find the server address in the app’s settings or documentation.
No. Ugo only uses freely the tools the app declares as read-only; everything else is shown to you first and only goes ahead after you tap “Confirm”.
Yes, if it offers an MCP server reachable from the internet. For Odoo, HubSpot, Zoho CRM, Agile CRM, monday.com and Zendesk there are already dedicated skills.
