Prepare for a visit
Look at the client’s website before you go in, to know what they sell and how they present themselves.
With Ugo, an AI assistant with its own WhatsApp number, you just type a website’s address: Ugo opens the page in a browser and sends you an image in the chat of how it looks on a computer or a phone. It can also send you the full page, up to three screens long.
Before a visit or a quote you want to get a feel for a client’s website: how it’s built, whether it reads well on a phone, what it puts front and centre. On your smartphone you only see the mobile version, and the desktop version is hard to look at on a phone.
With Ugo you ask in the chat: “show me harperassociates.co.uk on mobile” or “what does the smithandsons.co.uk home page look like on a computer?”. Shortly afterwards you get the image, to look at at your leisure or pass on to a colleague.
It takes a few minutes. You do the first two steps only once, then you connect as many apps as you like.
Sign up at app.ciaougo.com with your email and password and enter your company name.
In Settings → WhatsApp, generate a code and send it in a chat to Ugo’s number: from then on Ugo recognises your number.
On the Ugo portal, open Skills and, on the Website previews skill, tap “Turn on for the team”. The owner or an admin does it, once for everyone.
In your chat with Ugo, type the website you want to see and, if you need to, how: on a computer (the default), on a phone or the full page.
Ugo opens the page and sends you the image with a caption, usually within a minute.
Look at the client’s website before you go in, to know what they sell and how they present themselves.
If you build websites or do marketing, see straight away whether a page works well on a smartphone too.
A new landing page or an updated price list: ask for the preview and pass it on to the team.
Ask for the full page and Ugo sends you up to three screens in a single image.

Ugo isn’t the only option. Here are the most common alternatives, and when they make sense.
It’s the quickest way, but you only see the mobile version, and WhatsApp only shows you a link’s title and cover image.
Services such as Google PageSpeed Insights show how a page loads, with an image too, but you have to open them in a browser and they focus mainly on speed.
On a computer you can simulate a smartphone and take a screenshot, but you need the computer and a few more steps.
There’s no free version. Ugo costs €50 a month per person (or €550 a year), excl. VAT, with website previews and every other skill included.
It opens the page in a real browser through Google PageSpeed and sends you an image of what it sees. The page isn’t opened from your phone.
No, only with public pages, visible without logging in.
Yes. Send Ugo the full address of the page, for example a product page or the price list.
